Apple-Cranberry Crumble Pie Recipe

 This apple-cranberry crumble pie is perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas. It's also a great treat in the fall and winter months. The toasted oats, coconut, and pecans make it hearty enough to stand up to the cold weather.

Apple-Cranberry Crumble Pie Recipe


- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted

- 1 cup brown sugar

- 3/4 cup sugar

- 2 eggs

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/4 teaspoon salt.


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly greases a 9" pie plate, set aside. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. 

In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and the sugars until smooth. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until blended completely. 

Pour into prepared pie plate. In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and walnuts. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the topping, is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack and serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
