Banana Bread Pancakes

 If you love pancakes, but if you're also a banana bread fan, then why not have both? Now you can have breakfast and dessert all-in-one meal with this recipe for delicious banana bread pancakes.

Banana Bread Pancakes


1 tbsp sugar

1/4 tsp baking powder  

3 tbsp flour 

2 tbsp butter, melted 

1 large egg 

1 mashed ripe banana (about 2/3 cup) 

maple syrup for topping (optional)


In a small bowl, whisk together sugar and baking powder; set aside. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it becomes foamy. Whisk in the eggs and mashed bananas until fully combined. Stir in flour, baking powder, and sugar. Continue cooking while stirring until a thick batter forms.

Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat. Grease the surface with butter and drop spoonfuls of batter onto the hot surface. Cook until bubbles form on top, then flip to cook on another side, about one minute per side. Keep warm while you continue to make pancakes using the remaining batter.

Serve with maple syrup if desired.
