This is a recipe for brown butter toffee chocolate chip cookies. These are the perfect gooey cookie to satisfy any sweet tooth. With all of the different holiday flavors floating around, it's so nice to have a simple indulgent cookie that can be made at home with just four ingredients.

Brown Butter Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp cornstarch

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp kosher salt

12 oz chocolate chips (I used both semisweet and milk chocolate)

1) Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.

2) In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter until it bubbles (a little higher than melting).

3) Cook for 5-10 minutes until it becomes nutty brown.

4) Remove from the heat and add the salt and chocolate chips.

5) Mix everything well to ensure the chocolate chips have been evenly coated with butter.

6) Add 3-4 tablespoons of flour at a time while mixing until the mixture texture is sticky enough to knead.

7) Knead dough on an oat-free surface for about 2 minutes, keeping in mind there may not be enough flour in some spots of this recipe as it depends on how much flour you add.

8) Roll dough into a ball using a rolling pin and place it back on the non-oat-free surface to flatten and roll again. (for around 8-10 cookies you should be able to get three balls out of each batch).

9) Place dough balls on some parchment paper to give them a nice shape before baking, and then bake for 10 minutes. 10) Let the cookies cool for at least ten minutes before serving them.
