When I make Chicken wings (The Famous chicken wings!) It is carnage, there is never any left !!! Here is a really delicious recipe, super easy to make and quick to prepare. A great idea for the aperitif, a small economical recipe that everyone likes!
Ingredients:
- 4 pounds of chicken wings (from about 16 to 20 whole wings)
- For the sauce:
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
-2 tablespoons butter, melted and divided into two portions
-2 tablespoon honey, plus more to taste
-2 tablespoon soy sauce
-2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
-2 teaspoons sriracha or other hot sauce
-½ teaspoon garlic powder
-½ teaspoon onion powder Salt and pepper, to taste
Method:
• To make the sauce, combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well until smooth. Divide the mixture evenly into two bowls.
• Preheat the grill for high to low heat. • Rinse the wings under cold water and pat dry.
• Place each wing in a disposable roasting pan or baking sheet, with the tips pointing up. The chicken wings should be touching one another, so don't crowd them!
• Pour about 1/4 cup of the barbecue sauce into each pan or baking sheet, allowing at least ¼ inch of space between each wing. The sauce should be about half-covered by the chicken. Using tongs, firmly press down on all of the wings to make sure they're coated with sauce and submerged in it.
• Place on the preheated grill and cook for 10 minutes on medium-low heat, or until done.
• To check if the wings are cooked through, cut one in half. The juices should be clear, not bloody.
• Immediately brush the wings with about half of a tablespoon of melted butter. Use tongs to flip and brush the other side with melted butter. Place back on the grill for another four minutes or until browned and crispy.
• Remove from heat and serve immediately with an additional drizzle of honey, if desired.
