Barbecue Chicken Recipe

If you're looking for a warm summer meal but aren't feeling the typical barbecue chicken sandwich, try this quick and easy recipe. It's perfect for any occasion!

Barbecue Chicken Recipe

Ingredients 4-6 chicken thighs, bone-in, and skin on 1/4 cup  sugar 1/4 cup  barbecue sauce (I prefer to use a thick, tomato-based sauce like Hunts) 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional. I usually leave it out) Dash of pepper (optional, especially if you don't like spice)

Directions 1. Pat your chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Try to remove as much water as possible. 2. Marinate the chicken in the sugar for about 20 minutes. This will help tenderize the chicken and get rid of any leftover moisture after you've cooked it up later on. 3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat 4. After 20 minutes, pat dry again and season the inside of the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and barbecue sauce. 5. Grill (or pan fry) on med-high heat until the chicken is done in the middle. This should take about 8 minutes per side. 6. Enjoy!
