Easy Triple Berry Cake

Ingredients
1 1/3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup sour cream
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups fresh mixed berries, such as blueberries, raspberries, and coarsely chopped strawberries
Sweetened whipped cream, if desired

Steps

1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray. In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
2 In a large bowl, beat 3/4 cup sugar, the melted butter and sour cream with a whisk until well blended. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until smooth. Stir in 1 cup of the berries. Spread batter in the pie plate. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup berries and 1 teaspoon sugar over top.
3 Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 20 minutes. Cut into wedges; serve with whipped cream.
