The classic Chicken Parmesan recipe is one of the most popular dishes in the world. The combination of chicken, spaghetti, and cream sauce is utterly irresistible. This dish can be made in a number of different ways to suit your tastes, but all are delicious.


How To Make Chicken Parmesan


Ingredients: 8 oz. (250g) thinly sliced boneless skinless chicken breast, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or basil leaves, 1/4 tablespoon grated lemon zest (from 1 medium-size lemon), 3/4 cup (3oz./90g) shredded Italian flatbread or pita bread, 10 fl. oz. (300ml) marinara sauce, 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 4 fl. oz.(60ml.) water to make a slurry, pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste Directions: Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the chicken in a bowl and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss gently and set aside. Heat the oil in a skillet, add the garlic and onion, reduce to medium heat for about 4 minutes or until softened. Add the chicken and stir-fry for 3 minutes or until cooked through. Add the tomato sauce, bring to a boil and then simmer while stirring occasionally for 5 minutes or until thickened slightly. Sprinkle over the Italian bread pieces and cook on both sides till golden brown (but not too crisp). Sprinkle chicken with parsley/basil leaves, lemon zest, pasta sheets/bread cubes into 2-inch (5cm. or 6cm. m.) squares and drizzle with marinara sauce. Serve immediately.
