2 eggs
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon milk
½ cup water
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
3 tablespoons minced parsley leaves
¼ cup all-purpose flour
Preparations
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9-inch pie dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. In a large bowl, combine the onion, eggs, milk, water, cooked bacon, and brown sugar. Mix well until all the ingredients are well combined.
2. Spoon the mixture into the pie dish and sprinkle the cinnamon and nutmeg evenly over top of the batter in the pan. In a small bowl, sift together flour with parsley and then add it to the mixture in the pie dish. Place in oven and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the top of the pie is golden brown. Allow pie to cool for at least 1 hour before serving so that it sets up nicely for serving.
