Dried fruit: Substitute the cranberries with raisins, dried cherries, or dried blueberries.

Chocolate: Experiment with dark chocolate chips, semisweet chocolate chips, or peanut butter chips instead of white chocolate chips.

Spices: Add spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, or allspice to the batter to give the cookies a warm and comforting flavor.

Gluten-free: To make gluten-free cookies, replace the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
