Next, a rich and flavorful white sauce is poured over the top of the roll-ups. This sauce is made from butter, flour, chicken broth, and heavy cream, and seasoned with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Once the roll-ups are heated through and the sauce is bubbling and golden brown, the baking dish is covered with foil and baked.

When the dish is ready, it is garnished with fresh parsley and served hot. The result is a delicious, hearty meal that is perfect for a cozy night with friends or family. The combination of creamy ricotta cheese, savory chicken, and rich white sauce is sure to satisfy any craving for comfort food.

Use pre-cooked chicken: To save time, you can use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken or leftover cooked chicken instead of cooking chicken specifically for this recipe.

Add spinach: For an extra nutritional boost, you can add cooked and drained spinach to the filling mixture.

Substitute noodles: If you prefer, you can use gluten-free or whole-wheat lasagna noodles in this recipe.

Use different cheeses: Experiment with different types of cheese to change the flavor of the dish. For example, you can use fontina cheese or gouda cheese instead of mozzarella cheese.

Add herbs: Add some herbs to the filling mixture for extra flavor. Fresh basil, oregano, or thyme would be great options.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

As directed on the package, cook the lasagna noodles. Drain and rinse with cold water.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, parsley, and garlic. Mix well.

On a flat surface, spread the lasagna noodles out. Spoon the chicken mixture onto each noodle, spreading it evenly over the entire length.

Roll up each noodle, starting from one end and rolling tightly to the other end.

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. After adding the flour, simmer for one minute. Add the milk gradually while continuing to whisk to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese.

In the base of a 9x13-inch baking dish, thinly layer the sauce.

Place the lasagna roll-ups seam-side down in the baking dish.

The roll-ups tops should be covered with the leftover sauce.

Bake for 25 minutes with the foil covering the baking dish.

Once the foil has been removed, bake the dish for a further 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Before serving, allow the lasagna roll-ups to cool for a while. Enjoy!
